[ 12:51AM ] [ monkey ] [ Freaks ]

“There's a quality of legend about freaks. Like a person in a fairy tale who stops you and demands that you answer a riddle.”

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats.”

“You see someone on the street, and essentially what you notice about them is the flaw.”
Diane Arbus

[ 8:24PM ] [ mccaleb ] [ Christmas Holidays + New Year GRRRR> ]

             Families - WOW.

Should take at LEAST 3 or 4 weeks & some serious self-medication to fully recover. Can't wait till next year.

Shout out to all the lucky owners of their Christmas copy of TLoCG!

Been thinking lately about the Dancin' Outlaw & what's become of him.

Also googled for Walk the West & Mourned over the seeming un-existance of any boot-legs. - Am I getting homesick or nostalgic or both?!?! Those were the days.

Maddux planning to host Harley Davidson National HOG Convention in August?!? Will be loud music & screaming rubber & gear-grinding for the breaking of the Guiness Book of World Record for "simultaneous burn-out" SOUNDS LIKE FUN.

8 Foot Sativa played Christchurch for the New Years celebration & I missed it & also missed Tenatious D playing Chch cause I've been in Wellywood. damn.

Most interesting working: is Mark Whyte Sculpture (the making of the statue of Henry James Nicholas (WWI Victoria's Cross medalist) mark is a brilliant sculptor & we have afternoon beers at the pub in Merivale with Ducks floating around in the pond outside. have met a couple of interestings in the process. Met with TVNZ in Wellington RE.

Brooke is three & kinda grumpy at me at the moment & clingy to mum. Hope to sort that out in the coming months. We got Chistmas family bikes so hope to do more outdoor riding. what we've done has been brilliant. riverbed & Waikuku - Woodend trail.

Haven't been paying much attention to global politics / war / america / & terrorists / & such & have found that if you ignore it, it's like it's not really happening. interesting observation. hmmm.

spa pool is singularly the best purchase i have ever made. period. Going back in time, i'd have downgraded the car to get one.

tvc's have been pissing me off. going to look for something more.

hope you're all well & would love to hear news from you.

send greetings to okmccaleb + @ + yahoo + . + com

feel like should say - if you haven't seen it - you really have no idea - no idea whatsoever.

[ 12:40PM ] [ monkey ] [ Elvis is Dead, Long Live Elvis ]

             BBC Reports:

1977: Rock and roll 'king' Presley dies
Elvis Presley, whose singing and style revolutionized popular music in the 1950s, has died.

Presley, 42, was discovered slumped in a bathroom at his mansion in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday.

He was rushed to the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Tennessee state pathologist, Dr. Jerry Francisco, said a post mortem examination of the singer's body had revealed he died of cardiac arrhythmia - a form of heart attack.

[ 3:48AM ] [ infiniphonic ] [ weights and measurements ]

To be correct about it he was 8 lbs 4 oz. 8.4 ounces would have been very small. Too small? Terribly small! Tom Thumb small, and have you ever seen that movie? Creepy.

[ 10:58PM ] [ monkey ] [ Cris Vanling is Evil ]

Cris Vanling is the man behind the bunny suit. A man not to be trifled with, he truly knows more about the martial arts than most and constructed his own Samurai armor – as seen in the party scene of the Legend of Crazy George. Cris’ primary purpose in life, however, is to spew forth blood by the gallon in an attempt to set a Middle Tennessee special effects record. And I thought his crowning achievement was to give Carleen (played by Andi Collins) an excellent black eye. I found out a year later that he just punched Andi in the face and told her to shut the fuck up about it. I did my research to make sure this was true. Turns out, Cris pulls the Devil card from the Tarot deck every time. The card suggested that he breeds LUST and a hunger for all things primal. Not one to use only a single source I consulted a psychic (they’re not cheap) and she said Cris was a brutal 3 eyed worm in a former life who especially enjoyed tormenting groupies. Perhaps this was all too much Western mumbo jumbo so I requested a translation of Cris’s true name from a friend is Japan: Amaya or The Dark One. I didn’t like where this was leading, so a psychologist was called in to run some tests. I was relieved by the findings: Cris Vanling is only 64% evil. He will continue working on our films.

[ 4:41PM ] [ monkey ] [ Andi Collins ]

The rumors are true. Andi Collins (Carleen) has run off to parts unknown with a coven of vampires – the leader of which is said to have 69 eyes and enjoy torturing people with loud music. I know Andi’s gone bad because police surveillance cameras recorded her robbing a Shoney’s – pictured below with a bag of money and humping the Big Boy. Yes, she did take the Big Boy with her but only because his over-alls wouldn’t come off. The cold hard word is that if she brings the Big Boy to the vampires and not Crazy George there is going be some biblical killings.
