At 9:21 this morning: (November 20th, 2002) the world welcomed little Miss Morgan Furman, 6 lbs 15 oz to Cookeville General Hospital. Her parents sounded happy & healthy after a couple of hours of labor.
Full Moon gets em every time. |
Let me just say once again how much I'm looking forward to moving to New Zealand.
Ree Mitchell may sound a little wimpy swinging that 'axe' but when you slow it down to 40% speed, she sounds like a Tyranasaurus Rex. |
Our friends from Chattanooga came up for the weekend and they were very keen to see the work that we'd done on the film - so we obliged & they were very pleased & very interested to see what comes next!
It's interesting that each new person I show it to, I also see something new & can make improvements to the wee nuances here & there. For anyone who doesn't know already, The director of the film : THE LEGEND OF CRAZY GEORGE is George Furman, an accomplished photographer and artist. When he's not making babies, he's taking pictures. If you would like him to take pictures for you then the new portraits page is for you! Also, The Monkey has published a book of his photographs which we are expecting the first run of ANY DAY NOW. This retrospective of Furman photographs is entitled FAT PLATYPUS (Is that how you spell Platypus?) The proofs looked fantastic & I'm certain it will make a great gift for Christmas. We will be offering copies for sale here on the website as well as in your favorite bookstore. |
Up through the 15 minute mark & it's getting better & better.
On a totally unrelated subject Nice Singing Horses: http://svt.se/hogafflahage/hogafflaHage_site/Kor/hestekor.swf |
I've done a rough edit of the first 6+ minutes of the movie & it looks really good so far. It takes off running & doesn't stop.
I'm hoping to finish the first 20 min. this week. Going to K-town of Friday night to see Steve Earle! |
Fresh off the presses at the T.M.T. Studio:
McCaleb has finished the logging & capturing (digitizing) of all of the video clips from the film. Starting Monday we will begin editing. Zack has begun the capturing & cataloging of the corresponding sound files. Monkey has painted his office purple & claims that he likes carrot juice! Jim Wilson found the webpage / claims he likes The Hosemobile! |
So I revised the Freak Factory page for the historical revisionists. If you want to see down in the belly of the beast you'll just have to wait for the movie.
Speaking of which, I should be finished logging footage by tomorrow! Urgent negotiations are underway with the Whisk-Hutzel Contingent for the score of the film. The UNOFFICIAL Legend of Crazy George movie posters are proving to be quite popular! Get yours for only $8.50 shipping & handling included! |

Postproduction feels like hibernation, after the long hours spend shooting the film. We are working on logging all the video and sound clips into the computer and then editing the puzzle into a film. Can we do it by Christmas? O please, O please.
I keep thinking about how hard everyone worked over the summer and how grateful I am for the dedication of the cast and crew. Thank you guys. Thank you. |
It's over!
I feel a tremendous amount of relief and relaxation from knowing I won't have to deal with the pressures of that 'monster' of the outside world - The General Public - in the capacity of owner /operator of a haunted house - ever again. It's nice to really scare some people, but the night after night demands of 50 people all asking questions at once for 2-3 hours a night really gripes my ass. Fuck the naysayers. Fuck them. I'm sorry. If I've been short - abrupt - short tempered - or just generally foul over the past couple of weeks - if I seem immursed in illusions of my own grandour - it's because I worked hard for them. Forgive me. It's odd being me...many friends think I'm possessed by some odd, dark thing. (what with the haunted house - the horror film, the freaks, the blood & gore, the website, and that wrestling thing?) and as crazy as it all is - it's not finished yet. Sure, it will be tempting to haunt again, to hide in dark corners, to wear the masks, the makeup, but I won't even think twice for at least the next couple of years. No, I'll enjoy the fall leaves & carve pumkins like a madman, maybe even trick or treat! We went out with a bang though! 95% satisfaction as I monitored the exit. (I'm NOT just saying that!)Fully 50% of the patrons were coming outside in to the cold night air in a sweat...breathing heavily. They got what they paid for. Post-production? Editing? Well, let me say this. 1. broken timecode is the bane of DV. 2. Logging & Capturing is THE most TEDIOUS part of the editing process. 3. Processing power & a great video card ARE worth it in saved time. 4. If it was funny, scary, meaningful, beautiful, or 'whatever' during shooting. It is still, and maybe more so. The LEGEND of CRAZY GEORGE is not what people think it is, and it's not even what I thought it was. It's something else entirely. It is very entertaining just from clip to clip, and I can't wait to assemble it in it's entirety. - and then add sound! George did a fanfuckingtastic job writing the script. Actors & Actress delivered on their promise...and the camera was there to capture it all. I've just realized how sloppy my writing has become. My english teacher would NOT be proud. I will be updating EVERYTHING soon. We appreciate the support from you beloved faithful web followers - we certainly wouldn't want to BORE anyone. |
