Onmen: My connecting flight was in New York, my childhood stomping grounds (yes, I'm half Yankee). The plane arrived at 4:20. On the black school buss shuttle no one talked - they just stared at my chops as if to say - sing some Elvis for us, preach the word.
Omen:In flight drink menu prominantly displayed "Jack Daniel's Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky." P126 Omen: The sun set a blood red followed by a black ash sky. My mind kept screaming "Color me blood red" over and over again. Omen: Talked with Trish the Dish flight attendant for over an hour about boot legging in the South and the North. Pure moonshie VS Apple Jack. She told me that "In Psyco Hitchcock got the girl to scream by nailing her with ice cold water, unwarned." Its the perfect scream. I'm renting a car and loading it with" Hatch Show Print Legend of Crazy George posters, the best flyers I've made in a long while, Goo GOo Clusters, Moon Pies, Grits, cameras, movie sound tracts by Keving and Zack, VHS &VDD copies of the film, and a map of the city. Tonight its the GALA, Jen is ironing my kilt. High weirdness to come. check out Fearlesstales.com |

The time is at hand. The Legend of Crazy George screens at the Fearless Tales Film Festival on Sunday April 3 at 2:30PM. ( www.fearlesstales.com ) Its time to do some killing, or is it? Back in the day we could have rolled the bones and consulted the witches as to the fate of our film. But my bones are hanging in the House of Pain and the witches are at the beach.
So, I’ve done the modern thing and consulted the bottle caps. In an altered state of consciousness induced by the consumption of whisky, weed and just a little bull shit, I put my mind in that sacred place. Stumbling around the parking lot of Cotton Eyed Joe’s on a Sunday I collected the bottle caps below ![]() 4 Big Foot Beers (Skunkapes in our film?) 1 IBC Root Beer (My preferred root beer?) 1 Nehi Grape Soda (Legendary and lost grape soda?) 1 Frosty root beer (Old time root beer?) 1 Rolling rock ( Wild horses, wild times?) 1 key tag 1598 (What, why?) 1 Guinness (New Zealand, Adam Brookfield) What is the meaning of this? Now I am not qualified to divine the true meaning of this omen, one I presume to be good. I constantly ask, what do the bottle caps mean? What is the future of the Legend of Crazy George? If you know a witch or are versed in reading bottle caps, let me know the meaning of the bones… aluminum. Gfurman@cookeville.com or press the red “Monkey” above. |
